MALD
US Airforce has received its first miniature air launched decoy that is a pre-programmed unmanned decoy capable of deceiving enemy air defanse system. It is a low cost decoy that does not have very advanced capabilities but, are good deceptors. Once launched by an airborne aircraft into enemy airspace, it can replicate the signature and combat flight profiles of aircraft from which it is launched. This forces the enemy integrated defense system to differentiate between real and surrogate targets, increasing the time-to-engage and thus providing aircraft with a chance to penetrate further and hit the target. This considerably reduces Read more
